Job Description
Preschool teachers are responsible for the early education of children in their care. Duties and responsibilities include delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children and may include:
- Providing a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Provide basic needs of children.
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
- Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals.
- Work efficiently with other team members to coordinate activities.
We require our team to pass a background check. Must be motivated, able to excel in a super busy environment, and have good organizational skills! Above all else, our team members are kind, patient, and loving to the children.
The pay is competitive and based on the candidate’s qualifications. Monday through Friday work, year round with major holidays off! Our two locations include Holden Avenue north of the airport and a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Big Bear City!
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Child care professional (CCP) certification is advantageous.
- Proven experience working as a childcare teacher.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
- Clear criminal background check.
- In-depth understanding of childhood development.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attentive and patient.
