Referrals are great, but once you’ve exhausted those, it’s time to generate new leads with people you’re not already connected with. This is the most challenging part of marketing.
How should you get in front of new people? What is the best messaging to use? What should your call to action be?
Luckily, we’ve worked with hundreds of independent financial advisors and cracked the code on how to get in front of new qualified prospects and capture their attention.
We use two tools to do so: LinkedIn campaigns and Facebook ads.
First, we target the people you’d like to connect with using LinkedIn’s advanced search parameters. This could include:
- People in a certain industry
- People with a certain job title
- Employees of a certain company
Then, we send 450 outbound connection requests on your behalf each month. We find that 20-30% of people accept your connection request, which grows your network and allows them to see your posts in the future.
Once someone accepts your request and becomes a new connection, we send a follow up message on your behalf to send them relevant information and ask them to schedule a phone call if they need your help.

Second, we use Facebook ads to get in front of new people that fit your target demographic. This could include:
Next we test up to 20 variations of ads until we get one that is less than $0.50 per click. The average Facebook ad is $1.73 per click, so getting to 50 cents is a big achievement.
When someone clicks on your ad, they go to a landing page when they’re encouraged to watch a video, download a report, or schedule a phone call. They’re added to your email list and receive 4 follow up emails encouraging them to take the next step with you.
What are the Results?
With the Lead Generation Package, we expect 5 to 10 new leads each month. Depending on your close rate, this typically translates to between one and four new clients each month.
What is the Cost?
The total for this package is $450 per month. The additional costs to you include $15 per month for the LinkedIn tool we use, plus your Facebook ads budget. We recommend $200-$300 per month. Your total cost is about $765 per month.
