It’s Saturday morning. Like any entrepreneur, I woke up excited about ideas to grow my business. Here’s how it works.
What is LinkedHub?
LinkedHub is a technology that automatically sends connection requests and follow up messages to people who meet a certain criteria through your LinkedIn profile. You connect LinkedHub to your profile, then create “sequences” to search for and engage with new connections. It’s $15 per month for the basic plan, which includes 15 daily enrollments.
How to Use LinkedHub
First, you’ll want to install the software and connect your LinkedIn account. Then, you’ll want to create your first sequence. Click on “Sequences” and then “Create New.” From there, name your sequence and enter your search parameters.
Finding Your Search Parameters
To create your search parameters, log into LinkedIn and click “search” then “people.” On the right hand side under “keywords” you can enter the job title you’d like to find. I recommend searching for second degree connections so you know someone in common. Once you’ve entered your search criteria, hit enter and your search results will be displayed. For most advisors, searching by job title and company will be sufficient.
Then, click on the URL at the top of your browser and copy it. This is the list of people LinkedHub will send your sequence to.
Paste the URL into the “LinkedIn Search URL” box within LinkedHub.
Creating Your Sequence
Then, customize your connection request message and follow up message. Of course you’ll need to get both messages approved by compliance before sending. Here’s an example of what I recommend for your connection request message:
I’m help XYZ employees prepare for a secure retirement. Let’s connect in case you or someone you know needs my help.
Next, you’ll set your delay for the system to wait a few days before sending a follow up message. I recommend two or three days. Enter your customized follow up message and a call to action. You can see the message I use below. If you have an online calendar scheduler, you can provide the link for people to schedule a phone call!
Then, save the sequence and set it to enroll 15 people every day! You’ll need to upgrade to a paid account to do so. Once you’ve set up your sequence, it will run automatically every day. All you need to do is call your new qualified prospect when they set up a phone call on your calendar. Set a reminder to check your LinkedIn twice a week to respond to any new messages.
How Many New Leads to Expect
Of course, not everyone will accept your connection request, but in my experience, around 20 to 30% of people will. That’s about 100 new connections each month. You can expect around 5% of them to respond to your follow up message to ask a question or schedule a call. Depending on your conversion rate during phone calls, you could realistically add one new client per month with this process.
