About Claire Akin, MBA
Growing up in the financial services industry, I recognized early the value financial advisors bring to their clients and their communities. My father has been a financial advisor for over 36 years and I’ve worked in his firm for large parts of my life. During high school, I answered phones and did the filing of statements and prospectuses. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, I helped him with client service and technology systems. After earning my Master’s Degree in Marketing, I became an Investment Advisor Representative and still run the marketing department of his firm today.
My passion and talent are in helping advisors distill their niche and showcase what makes them different. I help the advisors I work with make sense of new technologies and demystify marketing trends. So many of my clients recognize the importance of marketing for their firm, but do not have the time to do it themselves. I simplify the complexity and make it easy for them to outsource their marketing while maintaining control of their message.
Advisors choose to work with me because they want personal help from someone who is talented, capable, and experienced in the industry. They continue to work with me over the years because of my dedication to helping them grow their businesses and the trusted relationship we develop over time. I know that their firm is their livelihood, that they cannot afford compliance violations, and that their marketing message affects their reputation.
